Fitness & Wellness Challenge

Malaysia is Asia’s fattest country with approximately half of the population being overweight or obese. Obesity can lead to serious life-threatening conditions, for example cardiovascular disease, diabetes, stroke, gallstone, and etc. it affects the workplace in numerous ways.

Obese people have also higher risk of suffering from breathlessness, snoring, sleep apnea, tiredness, difficulty with physical activity and arthritis. Therefore, even if they are not taking “sick leave”, “presenteeism” can be an issue, as the staff member’s health condition can affect their ability to do their work properly.

Our “Fitness and Wellness Challenge” program helps participants to achieve their health goals effectively. Our health professionals are experienced in conducting a nutrition workshop and customized exercise program. “We left no one behind”, a constant support and motivation will be provided from time to time and ensure all participants are on the right track to achieve their fitness and wellness goals.

Holistic Stress Management

60% to 80% of primary care doctor visits are related to stress, yet only 3% of patients receive stress management help. Untreated chronic stress can lead to serious health conditions including anxiety, insomnia, high blood pressure, weakened immune system, etc. Most of the employees nowadays suffer from chronic stress and they are not aware. The study revealed that Malaysian employees were overworked, stressed, led unhealthy lifestyles, and as a result, were at high risk of health problems and loss of productivity.

Our “Holistic Stress management program” is able to equip employees from all levels with essential skill:

Studies showed that non-communicable disease (NCD) accounts for more than 70% of deaths in Malaysia! NCD usually originates from minor problems in a person and snowballing over time into life-threatening disease. In fact, did you know, 80% of premature heart disease, diabetes, stroke and 40% of cancers can be prevented through a healthy diet and lifestyle.

Our “Healthy Eating and Disease Prevention ” program focuses on the health of individuals, diagnosing potential health symptoms before it turns into serious physical illness or disease. We do not only help with the prognosis of diseases, but strive to change the lifestyle of an individual to prevent relapse or recurrence of health-related problems.

Proper nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices directly impact your health, which is the most crucial determinant for organization productivity and efficiency.

Ergonomic & Injury Prevention

An average person is sitting 12 hours in a day. If we do not sit properly, we are going to suffer chronic pain and injuries. We will take this opportunity to introduce the concept of having good ergonomics such as proper sitting position, standing or lifting goes a long way to help employees prevent chronic pain and diseases.

Our “Ergonomic injuries and prevention” program is conducted by a qualified and experienced physiotherapist. During the program, we will perform a posture assessment with each individual staff in the company. There will be a detailed analysis of staffs’ posture, followed by explanation and suggestions of solutions to any notable problem.

Women Wellness Program

The health of employees is very important and cannot be neglected by a company, especially women wellness. In this modern life, women make up a greater share of a global workforce than ever before. Investing in women’s health is not only beneficial to the employees, it also helps a company to reduce absenteeism, increase productivity and reduce healthcare cost.

Our “Women Wellness” Program helps to solve the problem they are facing, including both physical and mental health. The reason is because most of the women have to balance their work and motherhood. This combination can be very stressful and overwhelming.

Most of the wellness programs are focusing on non-communicable disease, but they fail to provide the specific program for women employees. Employers should understand that women have unique physical and psychological concerns as compared to men. Mental Health First Aids

Wellbeing is crucial for any business, and practical mental health skills and awareness training are vital for creating a safe and healthy workplace. Poor mental health can cost Malaysian employers up to RM14.46 billion each year, but investing in mental health interventions can yield significant returns. For every RM5 spent, employers can expect RM25 in reduced absence, presenteeism, and staff turnover.

We offer Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training that equips people with the tools to support their own and others’ mental health, recognize the signs of mental health issues, and guide individuals towards support. We work with you to deliver training that complements and enhances your existing wellbeing strategy and manage wellbeing proactively, or we can support you in developing a new one.

Our MHFA training does not teach people to be therapists, but it does teach them how to respond in a crisis and how to reach out before a crisis happens. By partnering with us, you’ll be empowering your employees with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive, both in and out of the workplace.
